Automatic Tension Control System

Linear dancer roll for precision measurement of web force with automatic tension compensation

This system offers the ability to measure the web tension and control it automatically.

The force F applied to the floating roll (1) is measured by a high precision dynamometer (2) and converted into a proportional signal by a linear transducer (3) within values 0 - 10 V of easy processing with any PID or PLC running Windows.

Signal precision:
tension indication -/+ 1%
tension compensation: the deviation of Set point is proportional to the selected roller width.

Isorex combines the advantages offered by load cells and traditional dancer rolls, but excludes their limitations, adding benefit in terms of installation, ease of control and costs.
